Byłem w kościele, gdzie mi myśl przyszła, aby ks. P. odrysował obrazek przedstawiający Najświętszą Pannę Gostyńską z wielkiego ołtarza. Wokół, aby umieścił znaki doznanych tu cudów (…), a u spodu widok krajobrazowy kościoła jak się przedstawia od mostu naszej olszynki. Obrazek ten miałby dwa dobre cele: najprzód pomnożenie i rozpowszechnienie czci Najświętszej Panny, a po wtóre dochód na sieroty i chorych.

Bł. Edmunda był człowiekiem głębokiej modlitwy. Gdy doznawał trudności „szedł zanieść Bogu w ofierze swoje zbolałe serce. W jego Dzienniku czytamy modliłem się gorąco, ale nie słowami, nie myślą, tylko wytężonym uczuciem całego serca i duszy” oraz „ prosiłem Boga najmiłosierniejszego, aby mi dał łaskę wytrwania i zupełnego zgadzania się z Jego wola świętą”.
Modlitwa dawała mu tyle sił, że pomimo słabego zdrowia oddał się działom miłosierdzia.
Św. Jan Paweł II w przemówieniu do Sióstr Służebniczek w 2000 Roku Jubileuszu powiedział, że miłości do Boga bł. Edmund czerpał siłę do służby, jego miłość do ludzi rodziła się z głębokiego zjednoczenia z Bogiem.
Bł. Edmund Bojanowski jako świecki jest wzorem zaufania Bogu w każdej chwili i w każdej sprawie. Siostry Służebniczki nieustanie ukazując przykład Jego życia zachęcają by wzywać Jego wstawiennictwa jako Orędownika w trudnościach, Męża modlitwy, Wychowawcy dzieci i młodzieży, Patrona rodzin, Gorliwego Czciciela Eucharystii, Patrona wiernych świeckich. Ponadto jego bogata spuścizna literacka nieustannie inspiruje do wydobywania myśli, które mogą pomóc w naszym przeżywaniu wiary, roku liturgicznego, modlitwy różańcowej, adoracji czy spotkań formacyjnych.
